The Hubbell Extreme Build – Homes of Hope built two 3,500 square foot Family Homes for On With Life in just five days in September of 2024. These homes are dedicated for persons served to rehabilitate and live while recovering from brain injuries or diagnoses, completely free of charge. These homes provide a comfortable environment for family members of persons served to stay as they support their loved one, as well as persons served who travel for outpatient services.

We could not do these Extreme Builds without our dedicated trade partners who truly stepped up to the plate to make this the fastest Hubbell Extreme Build in our 20 year history,” said Casey Port, Vice President of Hubbell Construction Services.

The Hubbell Extreme Build is held every four years for an Iowa-based organization in need. The goal is to build, or rebuild, a space that will benefit Iowans and their causes for years to come. Past Hubbell Extreme Builds include:

·         2021 – Care for Kids, a 13,000 square foot child development center for Easterseals Iowa

·         2017 – Keeping More Families Close, Demo and rebuild of the Ronald McDonald House of Central Iowa

·         2013 – Cabins for Campers, Two 7,500 square foot cabins for campers with disabilities for Easterseals Iowa

·         2009 – 9 Homes in 9 Days for 9 Families, built nine (9) affordable townhomes alongside Anawim Housing

·         2006 – ABC Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, for a family who lost their home to a Christmas Day fire in Tama County
